Worked as a lawyer and as a banking and finance expert, including as vice-president of the Anglo-Austrian Bank.[1]
After the First World War, Rosenberg rendered valuable service in stabilising Austria's currency; together with Ludwig von Mises he influenced Federal Chancellor Ignaz Seipel, so that the policy of inflation and deficits was brought to an end and the complete collapse of the Austrian krone could be averted.[2]
Died on 3 April 1923 in Vienna. In his obituary, Mises described Rosenberg as “a leader in the active work of reconstruction” and praised him as one of “our best men”.[1]
