After the Institute for Business Cycle Research, Schiff worked as a newspaper editor and regularly attended the Mises private seminar.
In his principal work, Schiff demonstrated that monetary depreciation undermines firms' calculation assumptions and thus inevitably leads to malinvestment.[2]
Because of his Jewish descent, Schiff fled to the United States in 1938, where he continued to work as an economist.
Died on 9 January 1992 in the United States.
