Born on 21 July 1865 in Schwarzkosteletz (today Kostelec nad Černými lesy), Bohemia.

From 1891, holding a doctorate in law, an editor for economics at the Neue Freie Presse. A student of Carl Menger, a respected economic journalist and financier.

Publication of the work “Die Geldkrise in Österreich-Ungarn” (The Monetary Crisis in Austria-Hungary).

Publication of the work “Österreich-Ungarns Volkswirtschaft im Weltkriege” (Austria-Hungary’s Economy in the World War).

Publication of “Katastrophenhausse und Geldentwertung” (Crack-up Boom and Currency Depreciation), a work on the crack-up boom caused by inflation of the money supply after the First World War.

Publication of “Die weitere Entwicklung der Katastrophenhausse in Österreich mit Streiflichtern auf Deutschland” (The Further Development of the Crack-up Boom in Austria, with Sidelights on Germany).

Died on 25 January 1927 in Vienna.
