Ettinger was one of the first to predict the failure of every planned economy: “only the market price [is] a reliable regulator of demand” and of the “inflow and outflow of capital and labour from one branch of production into another” (Ettinger 1919, 10).
Died on 5 July 1939 in Vienna.
